Much of Doug's art falls somewhere in-between sculpture and an abstract painting.
Each piece is designed, created and signed by the artist. They are unique works of art crafted from reclaimed rough-hewn wood and recycled paint. When placed in a window that is getting direct sun light or street light at night, a shadow will extend itself across the floor, ceiling or wall. These pieces can also be easily hung on the wall instead of being placed in a window. There is something spiritual within each work of art from the way they interact with the light, to the second chance the wood and paint have been given, to their symbolism of faith in ourselves, in earth and in God. Doug also creates amazing wall art using either canvas or wood ranging in size from 10" x 10" all the way up to 4' x 8'. |
